I'm not a big fans of Monday, but today was different since today is our first giving treats to the kids!!! I was so excited.. I already got some candies since Friday.. I bought a bag of spiderman fruit snacks, reese's pieces with nuts, and assorted chocolates... So I went home right away after work since the trick or treating started at 5:30-7-ish pm I went home and I already saw bunch of kids in their costumes!! So I rushed into the house turned on my front porch lights and waited for the kids. I thought there won't be a lot of kids that will swing by at our house... but I was wrong.. there were a lots of kids.. I almost short of goodies !!! gosh... they are so cute tho !!! I love when their parents put their babies with cute customes such as piglets, lil tigger, pooh... or little pink bunny... I wish I could take pictures of all of them.. but they're too many of them.


7-ish, the kids were gone... we decided to go walmart and cub foods to get some food for carson's lunches... I bought some Honey Crisp Apples !! they're the best !! you have to try them.. they're awesome...

Next to him is Greg.. carson's best friend who people will never can guess what does he do for a living... he's just too funny and easy going... but anyway.. he's the guy who notarized my paperwork.. yup he's an attorney !! huahauahuahau if you came to our wedding you would never guess that he's an attorney.. hauhauahuaha.



Look what I got in my inbox today... my tricky father in law sent us one of his 'halloween pictures'. Aren't they the sweetest couple ever.. You know how people says "The fruit does not fall far from the tree " (something like that)... I'm positively sure I pick the right fruit :) based on looking on the tree...


That's it for tonight, I'm doing laundry right now, will try to relax and get some sleep. Bhavana wasn't feeling good today so we forced her to go home hehehehhe... I spoke with vone on the phone this afternoon.. poor girl doesn't have her laptop at the moment.. so she won't be able to update her blog :( poor vone... :P heheheheh

So yesterday.. Carson left around 1-30-ish, and I started cleaning the house .. do my chores you know.. and after I done.. I was looking for timmy... because I couldn't find him at his favorite places.. so I kept on calling his name... "timmy.. where are you.. timmy...." and I've been going upstairs.. downstairs. basement.. his closet (the food and poop room)... etc etc. .and then I found out after all this time I've been loking for him. there he was. laying on the couch.. sleeping...

After the house clean... I took a shower and got ready.. o by the way.. 3pm-ish .Chommany called and told me that we're going to a costume party after the pot luck. so I got no costume. .I had to drive all the way to Kmart to find a costume. and as you know... looking for a costume on the halloween weekend not that easy. .so I only found this angels' accessories such as the halo headband and wings.. so I got that.. and here I am... with the angel's outfit.

By the way.. vone was there !!! :) hehehe so happy.. after trying so hard to persue her to come to the potluck... goshh vone.. you're such a bussy girl !!!! so here's a picture of vone & ringga... Oh my gosh... Chommany cook a lot of food last night.. I think she can feed 100 people with that amount of foods!! well not that many.. probably 50...

By the way ringga was a bunny last night.. she's one cute bunny !! Chommany was a tiger... oopss.. I mean cat.. heheheh but we tried tho to make her draw her face.. but she said no :( booo .. boo chom chom... heheheh and here's the picture of the ladies in their costumes.

I had so much fun last night... after we ate we was gonna go to the halloween party but changed plans. we went to Aura instead.. and good thing they had a custome party too.. so we don't have to be embarassed wearing costume to a bar :P hehehehehe. Got back to Ames by 1:46am whcih actually means 2:46am !!! -_- *zzZZZzzzZZZ*

That's it.. woke up this morning.. managed to make it to the Church !! woohooo... but I had to sleep with the lights on and the Tv was on all night... to make sure that I can get up. Went to Target, I was going to get some halloween decoration, but they're not on sale yet.. so I'll check 'em out tomorrow or Tuesday... Bought KFC went home made some rice.. chicken with rice is the best !! plus don't forget the ABC Tropical Chilli Sauce with that !! :) hahhahahaa yum yum yum..

wooohooo Friday.... I started the day with a good mood untill.. you know... blah.. anyway.. it's always like that.. start the day with lil chit chat with lisa, ryan and bhavana.. and then go down the hill from there..

after work I went home.. stopped by at Hy-vee to get some grocery for tomorrow potluck, as ussual grilled steak with the side dishes: stuffed mushroom and asparagus.. heheh as ussual.. took a nap from 8 to 9:30pm.. got up went to Hollywood video cancelled my hollywood access since we join netflix now...

We watched Mail Order Wife last night.. it was... hmm.. funny but at the same time .. disturbing offensive... especially for asian women.. but it's refreshing.. they called this type of movie... "mockumentary" instead of documentary...

Blah.... I was so busy today... but it's fun... made an invitation postcard for the 10 year anniversary (not the 10th year anniversary said ryan) hehehehhee. I tried to combine a contemporer look with a classic place... it's harddddddddddd.. but anyway... we'll see how it turns out.

Talked with ringga lil bit after the dinner on my way to my other job... she's putting herself in trouble!!! she will host the thanksgiving dinner for the whole family... o m g .. good luck with that.. but I think I need to learn how to make turkey too someday... but not these days... I told her if she ruined the dinner just call me and we'll pick her up and we go to Carol's thanksgiving dinner (carson's family dinner).... hahahahhahaha

Yes... I'm so mad at society these days... I still remember when I was kid.. I had more educational toys. .such as medical kit... well I know that we can find it somewhere. But.. I went to Target after work.. and I couldn't find any single medical kit toys... and look at what the best seller toys in US ??? the BRATZ girls... are we trying to teach our kids to be such a bratz ?? with short skirts, tons of make-ups, a gizillion highlights on their hair.. dressed up like they's 25yrs old... oh my oh my... So anyway.. I just bought something that more nice and eductional for Funan which is activities book !! yeyyyy.. yippiee... hauhauahaua

Went home.. made supper.. do laundry.. and I did some experiment making what we called 'pisang molen' or molen banana.. it's basically a deep fried banana covered with flour. It's so yummy.. even tho they don't look perfect.. but they taste so good... I'll make it more perfect for Saturday girl's night out / potluck.

Ouw.. I bought myself.. a rolling pin !!! yes.. a rolling pin.. I always think.. a girl has to have a rolling pin in their house.. even though if they can't cook. they can use it as a protection device ! huahauahuaha ... it's pretty heavy you know.. :) hahahaha

Hi Hi Hi... today is Tuesday... Dale came to the office today, he told us the story when the first time they saw their daughter face to face. I almost cried when he told us the story how when she knew that her adopted parents are here, she make sure that her hair is neat and proper, how she anxious to meet them.. gosh... I was so touched... Dale told us when they took off from China Funan (the girl name) waved and said "Bye home, I'm going home"

hmm... it reminds me of me, when the last time I went home to Indonesia.. I knew it was the last time I'll be home before I can go home again. It was 3 years ago, when I celebrated Christmas for the very last time. I saw people who speak the same language with me, and I know I'm gonna missed all of this. But I'm leaving to Iowa.. to my home too. Good by home... I'm going home...

Weekend was fun.. I'm not moody nor depressed anymore..

Saturday I went to Ringga's house and then we went out to eat at Saigon cafe, after that we went to Jordan Creek mall. Chommany joined us around 3-ish in the afternoon. We went shopping until.. hmm.. I have no idea. 6??? hahauahauha and then we went to Valley West mall since I have to buy a gift card from Valley West for Dale & Aimee's kid shower.. :) They just adopted a daughter from China, she's a 7 years old girl. I always think adopting kids is the most honorable thing people can do. I'm so proud of Dale & Aimee.. I think they will be a great parents.. so anyway back to the shopping route.. Ringga finally found a gorgeous gown for the Marine Ball for only 30 bucks ! huahauaha it's so pretty and ellegant..

When Chommany and Ringga trying some clothes on, I was sitting on the fitting room area at Von Maur.. you know.. I was thinking.. gosh.. I'm so happy.. I have a great husband, great in laws, great friends, great house, we have enough money so I can shop :P heheheh, not so a great job but good money still. :) heheheheheh

After that went to eat at Waterfront restaurant. BUT.. we stopped by at TJ Maxx of course ahhahaah since me & Chommy still need to shop for our men.. Carson really2 need a new pair of jeans... so as a good wife.. I have to shop for him :) hehehe. The original plan was the three of us will eat there but since Chommany has another plan with her hubby at 8.. so she ordered for take out. Left me and ringga eating sushi !! :(. But it was fun. .yummy sushi... (I can see Lisa with her 'yuck face' when reading this.. hahahhaha since she's not a big fans of seafood.. :) hehehehe.

Went home.. and that's it.. OOO I watched House of 10000 corpse !! o m g.. the most disturbing movie ever.. even more disturbing than the Saw... but I watched it anyway ! huahauhaua

One of Carson's bestfriends is a lawyer and then since I need some document to be notarized I asked him whether he has his notarization stmap with him or not.. you know.. you'll never know.. hauahua
and yeah.. guess what??!! he has it in his car !! huahauhauaa hillarious.. a lawyer has his notarization stamp in his car !! huahau not in his office... in his car! huahaua so that's been taken care of. .so I can send my adjustment status sometime tommorrow.

Today (Sunday) I woke up with both legs sore.. (shopping for 5 hrs !!) good exercise huh.. :) I told carson to try on his new jeans.. but guess what??!! they are too snug.. so I have to go back to TJ Maxx in ankeny and returned them.. and guess who I saw.. Nelson ! huahauha my business manager.. heheh small world.. and then went back to ames, run some errands. .go to Sams Club to get Timmy's food, and then went to JC Penny.. returned another jeans that I think it's too expensive. I can buy 2 pair of jeans for 32 bucks why bother buying 1 pair jeans at JC Penny for 32 bucks??!! huh ?? got my eyebrow waxed.. then final destination walmart..

I met my college friend Wendy.. She was carrying this cute baby girl.. and guess what??!! that's hers!!! gosh.. she already have a 7month baby girl.. she's so adorable...

That's it.. went back home.. cook.. watch TV... take out trash.. now ready to go back to bed again.

This week is officially the worst work experience week I ever had.. remember about the client that I've been talking about.. the one that has the worst website ever.. so anyway seems like I'm not done with him yet.. but anyway me, lisa & nelson are not happy with him. Oh well.. we'll get through this.. we will !!!

so I went back from lunch and saw there's united way brochure on my desk, and when I opened it.. i saw this picture that made my day.. hehehehehhehe so I posted here :)

Carson finally got his costume for halloween.. huahuahauhauahauha *rolling on the floor covering my eyes* hauhauahauhauhaau I can't tell you guys yet.. because i think he wants it to be a surprise for his friends.. hauhauahau well chommy knows... I'll let vone knows if you call me vone !! :P hauhauahauhua so anyway.. the costume is hillarious !!! I can't even believe my own eyes that he's willing to wear that costume... mom.. I'll send you the picture later ! :P hauhauah it's even worst than the Dangle guy from Reno 911 costume that he wore 2 years ago..

so anyway... after thinking for sometime... I well maybe we... decided to be the netflix-ter... since I think it's cheaper that way, right now we're paying 10 bucks per month with hollywood video.. but we only can rent 2 at a time.. and we still have to pay $1.06 per movie... and we still have to drive back and forth.. why not being the netflix-ter.

That's it... ouw... carson went to goodwill today and bought me silly stuff... such as: frog ball (frog stuffed animal that shaped like a ball and when you throw it against the wall it makes sounds like a frog) and a frog rubber ducky kinda.. that can squirt water.. my husband is a goof ball.. he's just the sweetest!! :) hahahaha *love ya*

I wasn't feeling good at all today... I have no idea what cause it.. but I just felt so weak.. and tired.. maybe the fact that I just designed such a horrible website that I feel so guilty when I look at it or when I heard about how horrible the site is. It makes me feel so depressed... I know it's not my mistake that the client wants it that way.. but in the other hand.. I wish I could do something to change it..

Oh well... the GRIP (global reach internet.. ) girls went out to lunch together.. we had a blast... we went to New China.. and then we went to Hy-vee and got tonsa sweets !!! I got reese's
sticks, lisa got chocolate chocolate chip cookies.. bhavana got random cookies :P hehehe and Kristine got jelly beans ! :P yummy....

Finally I got my scanner today.. so nice.. but not as nice as my scanner at home... :) heheheheh

Went home.. made udon (japanese noodle soup) with meatballs... watch desperate housewive.. and Lost..that's it.. nothing really happened today.. sorry guys.. I think I'm so depressed by this 1 stupid client !!! arghhhhhhhh I need to learn not to be a drama queen.. and I need to learn not to take anything personally... maybe that's going to be my goal for next year resolution.. try to be a better person...

I just took a "Which Housewfie are you" test.. and look what I got as a result... o m g... I don't want to be like her !!! if you follow the episode, you know what kind of person she is !! *hmmpff* maybe I kinda like her a little bit... I need to go ask carson about this...

Nothing really interesting happened today.. but guess who's sick again today??!! yeah.. some of you know it already... gosh.. even Carson already knew it when I asked him guess who's sick today.. hauhauahuaha so anyway.. work still pretty hectic.. seems like I can't even breath for a second... hmppff.... oh well.. it makes the time goes faster...

Finally I got both dvd for lisa done this morning and managed to give it to lisa so she can watch 'em.. hopefully they work on lisa's dvd...

Call Kristine.. complained about stuff as usual.. gosh.. I think I'm a nagging person !!! not only to Carson.. but to everyone..

I think I really need a break from work.. ok here me out here... after I told people at work what I do most of the day.. I think I really deserve a break.. (so Lisa you can skip this part since you already heard about it)

Woke up around 7:15-7:45am, I work from 8:30-5:30pm... go home.. defrost the meat... go upstairs.. grab the laundry basket.. grab all carson's dirty pile.. put them in the washing machine.. check the meat.. marinate the meat.. go downstair to the basement.. get my vacuum cleaner.. put it upstair.. pour those Carpet deodorizer to kill pet odors... let it soak in the carpet... start cooking... while the food is cooking move the laundry to dryer.. finished cooking.. yell out loud "Cars... food is ready!!!!!!" eat... wash the dishes... start vacuuming... and then take a shower.. and then.. watch TV or Movie untill 1:30am.. and then repeat !!!!

Can't wait till we have kids !!!! I'm gonna be nuts !! I don't know how Carson's mom can do this.. also other moms...

So we decided that we will go to Chicago the first weekend of next month !!! woohooo...

That's it... we're in the middle of watching Desperate Housewive... make me so jealous of those rich people who don't have to work and just stay at home doing nothing.. shopping.. hanging out with their friends... hmmpfff... see.. actually I can do these stuff if I go back home to Indonesia.. but no no no.. destri chose to be mrs. andorf... so destri needs to stay here and be 'da super mom!!!'

Monday = Hectic day !!

Gosh.. it's only monday.. and I already worn out... today wasn't the best day I've ever had. Morning was fine.. as ussual me & lisa started our day with our daily conversation which involving either dreams.. or cats.. or significant others.. But suddenly I started to realize how bussy I was.. changes after changes.. revisions after revisions.. hmmpff... and I got annoying client.. but I'm not gonna go into details about this... but in conclusion.. I'm so angry!!

plus.. we got an email.. that we have to keep it down around the office... o m g ... remember when I told you guys about how I can't sit at my desk and not talking... I can't help it.. so because I can't talk that much anymore around the office.. lunch hour.. I bursted out !!! I called vone... and she's becoming one of my victim.. I got so wreild up and so angry... usually I called ringga and yelled at her voice mail..but anyway. since I know vone's at lunch.. and so i can talk to her.. hauahua *sorry vone*... and then I went home.. and Carson became my second victim... hahahaha.

but you know.. I work 8 hrs a day.. and maybe sometime more than that.. half of my day is at work.. so the only thing that I'm asking for is a friendly & fun environment. When I started working there.. I didn't signup for working at a funeral home!!!! nor cemetery !!

Goshh.. at least at the cemetery & funeral you can still hear people sobbing... o m g.. I WANNA CRY !!!! I like working there.. because of lisa :P hehehe and bhavana.. and ryan... oh well everyone I supposed !!! Enough about work.. so went back home.. edited the Lost episodes for Lisa.. I did it !! I got it done...I'm gonna work on the next 2 episodes.. so by tomorrow she can start watching the episodes so she can catch up on Wednesday. Anyway... defrost the meat while I edited the dvd... let the dvd burning.. went upstairs.. marinate the meat.. got laundry from upstairs put them in the washing machine..

Found out that my Rice cooker lid melted in the dishwasher !!! not very happy about that either !!

I made Bulbogi Beef (Korean BBQ), Thai Ginger Soup (instant... so don't ask me how to make it, just add water and egg!). hehehehe.

Morgan got punished because he was too hyper while carson tried to make his halloween costume. I have no idea what he's gonna be this year..I don't even know what am I gonna be this year.. blah....

Finally I finished vacuuming the whole house.. but not deep clean tho.. deep clean is including combing/brushing my carpet for all the dogs cats & human hairs... but I didn't do it tonight.. to tired..

12:00pm-leaving from Ames to Branond, IA (mom & dad)

2:00pm - got there.. ate lunch.. hooked the scanner up.. fixing stuff.. (we're the geek squad in the family you know.. ) hehehehe 0_0

3:30pm - went to Applle orchard.. got some yummy red delicious apples and gold delicious? (I Forgot)..

4:00pm - went pumpkin patch.. heheh fun place to be.. hahahha just look at the pictures.. :)

4:30pm - went to the largest frying pan in iowa ??? hauhauahau

After that spent the whole day with Marcus & Blayke (Carson's nephews..) are they so cute !! :) hehehehe and slept by 12am or so..

Sunday.. woke up at 10:30 am.. ate breakfast.. spent more time with the boys.. play hide & seek.. of course I lost.. but psst.. I always told him that I win ! :P hehehe well they hide at mom's bedroom you know.. I don't dare to go in there !! :) heheheheh

and then erica (carson's sister) came... we all ate lunch together.. and then 2:10pm head back to ames... got home by 4:00pm get ready again to the wine tasting in Johnstone Iowa.

Got there 6pm sharp.. the first 3 people there .. (me.. cars and vone) huahauah and guess what??!! we didn't even know who are these people that we go to their house !!!! goshh.. I just found out their last name just 10 minutes ago !! :P huhuahauahua but they are really nice couple.. I like them.. Melanie the hostess.. she cook all the foods !! and they were alot of 'em !!
and all of 'em are good... chommany & nik came about an hour after 6 !!! (Good job guys...) hauhauahau we ate there and hang out till 8. and since Chommany craving for Pho (noodle soup).. we went to Pho 777 after that..

Gosh. .we ate alot today !!!! but it was fun.. I laughed a lot today.. my jaws feel like fell off.. hauhauahua
so anyway .. that's it.. I still need to work on Lisa dvds!!! sorry lisa... probably I can give it to you next week.. I don't have time :( sorry..

so work was okay... nothing special.. just talking about creppy stuff with Lisa.. my talking buddy.

ouw.. there's funny thing happened today.. you know Tanner. .the quiet guy.. he came to work with the whitest tennis shoes ever !!! so white.. like brand new white. so I was like " wooow.. tanner.. your shoes are so white" and lisa with her innocent face " so where did you get them" and tanner: "Does it matter" huahauahuahaua o m g tanner is so funny.. and then he's quiet again. .so me and lisa kept on asking him whether he's mad at us or not :P heheheheh but he's cool.. that's it..

ouww by the way.. correction on yesterday blog.. the mascot name is not buck billy.. his name is 'budget billy!'. :o)

Went to Des Moines (pronounce: like 'the moins' not des mo-i-nes).. visit vone at her booth.. chit chat lil bit.. took tonsa pictures for the virtual tour thing 'tikk 5:35pm.. eat some gyros & fried plantain.

Suddenly it's 5:55 already !! so I have to rush to Dave's surprise birthday party. ..(sorry no pictures). I stayed until 7pm.. drank 1 glass of Appletini :) I need to drive home you know.. so just 1 glass ! :) heheheh saw a cute 7 weeks old baby girl..

yada yada yada... Went to Valley West. .. original plan is to hang out with Chommany right.. but plan change.. they're going to eat at Ryan's buffet place.. (not my c-worker Ryan's house :P) hehehe. So I don't really want to spend money to eat buffet since I already ate.. so we just shop for a while.. I got 2 syal (sinter scarf)... for $18.10 and then Chommy & her hubby left.. I stopped by at the casual corner.. since I still have the gift card from the big boss.. :) so I got my self 2 sweaters.. (pink and baby blue) :) so cute and comfy.. $12/each.. but I didn't pay for it since I still have the card ...

This is what I found out... Size P (petite) supposed to be smaller that S (small) BUT... for some reason the sweater that I bought.. I fit size P.. perfectly... but Small is too tight.. now I'm confused.. oh well.. if it's still between petite and small .. I'm good.. if I already start wearing size XXXL.. then I have to be worry :P hehehehe

That's it.. I'm home.. so restless... I didn't get enough caffeine in my blood today hahaha.. now I'm going to charge our portable DVD player & game boy.. get some DVDs for tomorrow.. ouw.. I should watch 'Destry Rides Again' DVD, my dad-in-law bought it 2 years ago as my Christmas gift and I haven't watch it till now !!! o m g .. I'm such a bad daughter-out-law :P hehehehehe done...
