Tired.. so tired.. no power... :(

Work from 8:30am - 12:30pm went to the Engineering Career Fair guard the booth and look pretty tho I know nothing! well I know that we're looking for people who has cold fusion, ASP. Net, php, ajax background etc etc... but still... hehehehe stay there till 7pm. Got a chance to see my brother.. he has his own booth too.. got some cool pens, can/bottle holder from UPS, mini stapler, and some magnets :P heheheheh

Stopped by at the office to pick up my check :) (pay day yay!!!). Went back home to see my hubby for 30 minutes and then here I am.. :)

zzZZZzzZZZzzz but it was fun tho... met a lot of interesting people (from red bow tie, hanging pants & awesome tie and variety of backpacks :P) hauhauahuahauha

Vone, here's the picture!! :) well okay I forgot to tell you guys... on Saturday I had nothing to do so I started cleaning my kitchen... I'm talking deep cleaning here.. so I decided to move our 13" TV from the kitchen to our basement (gym area).. and then I went to Best Buy to get that under the cabinet TV thing... but they don't have it but instead.. I saw this 7" portable TV that can hook to a cable TV.. and it's so cheap too... it's only 125 dollars... so I was like... awesome!! so I can move the TV around... I can put it in my office area downstairs if I need to work on graphic design stuff... :)


Tomorrow I have to guard the booth from 2-7pm !!! for the engineer career fair... booo!!!!! :( so I need to iron my Global Reach shirt :( and then need to wash my hair so I can look pretty tomorrow .. tho nothing can look pretty with the GRIP shirt! :( hehehhehe at least mine not pink !!! (hahaha and pointing at Lisa...)

Today is the very first time as husband and wife we served at the Church... it was fun, we got a chance to meet lots of people and good thing that today we in charge on giving the programs since carson still coughing and sneezing I don't think it's a good idea for him to be the front greeter spreading all the germs.. :)

After church we went to Sam's Club to get dog's food and some breakfast food for us. Went to lunch and then went home and took some nap :) got up play Mario Party 7 and now I need to start cooking and baking some cookies for work tomorrow..

LOOK.. look.. I got this picture from Zevilla.. my high school friend. I made her this doll for her.. :) hehehehehehe. I should say thanks for taking good care of it and even brought it to US !!! o mg !! :)

Going to the dentist for me is like going to Jiffy Lube... if you don't get it.. I'll explain it to you.. I sat on the dentist chair... and the dentist took a look carefully on my chipped tooth... after few seconds picking and digging my beloved chipped tooth... he said "hmm yeah we have enough tooth to work with... BUT... I think this is what you have to do.. I think you should get a root canal.. and then we re-construct your tooth from the bottom!" arggghhh ROOT CANAL!!!!!!!

next step: make a decision.. going to the dentist in ames and pay 800 bucks in advanced.. or going to Des Moines and pay later... well I chose driving to Des Moines... no 800 at the moment right away.. no no no....

Q: so... will it hurt?? I mean the root canal..
A: (dentist): no.... they will only numb one of your tooth... compare what I did to you (numbing 7 of my teeth at the same time)... it will be nothing... but still...

oh well.. now I know.. we will need 2 funds for our kids... college fund.. and DENTAL fund!!!

PS: I recycled all the empty cans from the office and I got $9.90, so I bought 3 cookies mix (Chocolate chip, chocolate chip walnut, and chocolate chocolate chip) and 6 muffin mix (blueberry, chocolate chips, and lemon poppy seed). hahahah i love feeding people :P huahauha

My day was okay... till I chipped one of my teeth.. (the very back one) :( stupid free cookie !! :( arghh so I called my dentist and will get it fix tomorrow! :) so I have to get up as early as I could so I can take a longer lunch for the appointment. I just finished paying my dentist bill 2 months ago.. and now I have to start paying them again.. :( arghhhhh

and then I went home ate my supper, took a nap.. woke up at 7:30pm and I was like.. hmm 15 more minutes.. and the next thing I heard was my phone buzzing.. and guess what.. I'm late for my second job!!!! I woke up at 8:36pm went to the gas station to get pop.. and then go to work :P hehehehehehheh

dentist tomorrow... :( huu huu now I have a headache! :(

oh my... I think i put myself into trouble by setting up the Math 166 website... so work that usually just for fun and easy job becoming more painful and hectic..

Tonight I tried to make a manual how to update a website without using WYSIWYG software.. ok it's not difficult for me since I've been dealing basic html in daily basis.. but I'm not sure about the other girls that work for him. Hopefully my manual is useful for them..

Challenging.. but I hope they can do it..

My hubby is sick.. but tho he's sick.. he still went to the wrestling practice.. nothing can stop him from wrestling I guess.. does he ever thought that with him practicing with the HS kids will spread the germs to them???!! oh well... whatever

Chatting with Lucy & Vone tonight as usual.. Vone is sick too... hopefully u'll get better soon vone.. but tho she's sick she still went shopping !!!! and I miss my ida a.k.a lucy... so much...

My hubby wubby don't feel well today :( poor baby...

we will buy an elliptical machine.. and move my kitchen TV to the basement and mount it on the wall so we can work out together while watching TV too.. and then when I got some extra money, I want to buy this under-cabinet TV.

yesterday was fun.. we were not planning to do anything last night but guess what??!! we were going to perkin's but for some reason they were so busy.. so we went to King Buffet..... yummyy crab's legs !! :) guess who we saw at King Buffet??!!! Peggy & Raihan. So after dinner we went to see Tristan & Isolde I gave this movie a B+, I think James Franco is pretty cute in this movie.. :P hehehe yeah carson knows that I have a crush on him :P heheheh

I like his 'teary' & 'bedroom' eyes :P huahauahuaha ok I better stop before Carson start banning me watch any of his movies :P heheheheh

finallyyyyyyyyyyyyy it's friday..... !!! :) It was snowing all day..I skipped my lunch so I got home by 4:30pm :) hmm... nothing really new.. still struggling with my new site... try to make a photo gallery page, pretty much still struggling !! :( arghhhhh but I upload the pictures from the 10th year anniversary on my gallery site.. just for an experiment..

Worked on Mr. Wright's site again since most of the link can't be downloaded... stupid frontpage!! but I cleaned up the code.. I will spend more time on the site tommorrow...

but thanks to Tim & Lisa.. I managed to change my website into php... no more html! woohhooo.. so I went home from work couldn't wait to try the php code that Tim taught me.. so I jumped into my website first and managed to change all the pages.. after that I updated ameshighwrestling.com site too.. so now both site is php sites ! :) awesome!!! Thanks Tim & lisa.. my coding mentor!! :)

Went to my other job... guess what I did???!!! yeah another website.. since for some reason some of the students didn't get the class notes that we sent, so I decided to create a website for the class... but the thing is.. it's an ISU website.. so I have to install the keberos first and then filezilla to upload the files.. and yeah with dial-up connection.. it took me an hour to download 3.5 mb file!!!!!! arghhh well anyway.. and guess what software did I use??!! freakin microsoft word!!!! yeah I know.. can't wait to clean it up.. I'll do it this weekend.. YIKES!!!!

I had dinner with Vone tonight.. we were going to eat at Thai Kitchen but too bad they're closed :( booo!!! so we went to Bali Satay House.. we had a brief 'Arisan' meeting hehehehe we let you guys know what's the verdict on that one :) I got some food to go for my hubby wubby.. his favorite dish... 'Gulai Kambing' a.k.a Lamb Curry ala Indonesia.

talking about foods.. last night my brother sent me all the pictures that melissa took back home.. including all the foods she ate.. o m g... I was so hungry when I saw the pictures!!! arghhhhhhh and then I was browsing pictures to put on my blog.. and I got this picture... isn't that look yummy!!!! oh my... Bakmi Gajah Mada (Gajah Mada Noodle) the most famous noodle in Indonesia...

Whatelse new today... nothing much.. just a regular monday.. and as you guys already know... I don't like Monday.. hehehehhe but today wasn't that bad tho... heheheh I think my Big boss & my Small boss know why.. and some of my co-worker know too :) huahauhauah

except that one client that keep on changing his mind !!! I've made about 14 logos so far for this client and he's not satisfied yet... arghhhh I gave him a 'Lisa' treatment.. which is be silent in the meeting.. and throwing 'sharp' sentences... so yesterday Ringga came up to ames.. we went a 'brief' shopping for Summer clothing, well actually shop for clothing for going back to Indonesia. Since everytime we go back home, we feel like a 'villager' come to a city... :( sad huh??!! tho it seems like we (me & ringga) considered being stylish around here, still we're a villager. :( so sad.... but true.. and the truth is hurt !! :(

Carson's been so sweet the whole day, he went to Church with me, he made me rootbeer float, he emptied out all the trash cans around the house, and then he took the trash outside, he bought me an animal crossing guide magazine, and then he folded the laundry. I'm so blessed.. 0_^

so anyway... nothing new here.. finally finished working on Vone's stuff (volunteer work for Iowa Asian Alliances).. other than that we're just busy planning our honeymoon trip to my home sweet home country.

I'm so sorry.. I forgot to update my blog last night... yesterday was our date night.. we went to a movie ($1.75 movie) :) hheheheheh we watched 'Waiting' it's so funny!! :) at least we like it :)

After that we went to Walmart to get some stuff for my mommy, since I'll see Ringga tonight so I can give it to her to bring them back to indonesia.

So now I'm doing my laundry and need to get ready to go to the mall (my mom wants this Lancome eyeshadow) so I need to get it for her.. and I bet it will be expensive!!!!! arghhhh MOM.. I'm trying to save money here !! :( huuu huu huuu Alrighty need to get ready now.. talk to you later... :) *smooch*

So today I got the price quote for the Airline from my Travel Agent in SF, she said that the price for the month we want to go home has not been out yet. But she gave us the price quote for EVA Air, Evergreen Deluxe Class, per person.. $1,228 +tax. I think it's reasonable.. after thinking about it.. it's been a while I haven't gone home yet. But anyhow.. I chose the evergreen deluxe class.. so basically it's higher than economy class but lower than first class. I gave up on Economy class from EVA Air long long time ago.. after I got yelled by someone who doesn't even know what they're talking about.

but anyhow.. the disadvantage of this flight is.. we have to go from..
DSM - Dallas / Chicago - LAX / SF - Taipei - Jakarta
so if we can get Northwest, that might be better... because we can go home with my brother..
DSM - MSP (minnesota) - Tokyo - Singapore - Jakarta

oh well.. I think I'll go with EVA.. so carson will have a pleasant flight :) and I miss EVA Air dinner rolls :P HAUAHUAHAUHA

I'm waiting for Carson to come home.. the food is ready.. I'm so ready to watch the new episode of Lost. Since I have other stuff to work on tonight, I decided to write my blog before 8.. :)

Went to Hy-Vee after work to get some ingridients for supper, and.. Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookie mix for work tomorrow.. :) .. went home cook supper and at the same time baking cookies.. so that way I can accomplished 2 things at once.. :)

By the way one of my friend from Junior High is getting married this October.. congratulations Regina & Reginald.. (yeap those are their real name) They've been dating since they were 14... wow huh... so I got an email from her today, her wedding ceremony will be held in Bali ! yeah Bali !! the 'Ultimate Island' of Indonesia. Then the reception will be held in Jakarta.

Bali is one of the places that we will visit when we go back home...

PS: My boss agree that I can go back home for 3 weeks this year.. woohoo!!!!

"The Potluck Club"

So basically we will gather once a month, and everybody will make or bring 1 dish and we will rotate the place where we will have it. If we have the potluck at my place this month we will do it at Vone's place next month and so on.

The monthly fee is basically a 'saving with no interest', once a month when we gather we will collect the fee and then we will withdraw name, whoever name comes out she will get the total amount. But once she get the money she won't be able to get any money till everybody get their name withdraw.

This idea is based on what we called 'Arisan' back in Indonesia

The Arisan System
The Arisan is generally known as a women’s “lottery club” popular in many parts of
Indonesia. Each week, often in the late afternoon, a group of women will
gather and contribute 1,000 rupiah (10 US cents) each. Each of the
participants names are written on a piece of paper which is rolled up and put in
a bottle. One name is drawn each week until all the members have won, at
which time the game ends and the participants decide whether or not to start the
next game. Each week, some lucky winner takes home between 20,000 and
100,000 Rupiah (3-11 dollars US). Each participant is required to
contribute 1,000 rupiah weekly until the game is over. Such events are
usually accompanied by tea and cakes, chatter and joking between the
women. It is a time to come together and enjoy each other’s company, catch
up on local news and gossip, with one lucky person winning the week’s
prize.

oh my.. I was so tired the whole day.. I have no idea why.... I think we should pursue 'GRIP nap time' or we can called it 'GRIP Power Nap.'

so I went home, ouw.. I stopped by at my previous employer.. pick up my check and I'm proudly announced that I have more than enough money to go back home now !!! :) heheheh WOOHOOO just for my ticket tho.. carson need to save his own money for the ticket hauhauahuahauha (kidding!! well in 2 months maybe I can pay for his airline ticket too) AWESOME!!!

and my mom promised she will cover for all the expenses in Jakarta !!! :) AWESOME!! and then and then she sent us a gift too... Melissa (my sis in law) will bring it here..

Sign of Aging

So today I went out with Ringga & Vone.. went to waterfront rest. in des moines, and we went to see 'The Family Stone' at Jordan Creek. Successed sneaking home bake chocolate chips cookies (made by Vone), 2 ice cream cups from Cold Stone Creamery, and a frappucino from Starbucks. HUAHAUAHUAH good job girls!! :)

Ruined my new year resolution already (the shopping one) but at least I only spent about 50 bucks.. (and I used my money not carson, not our money, so damaged is on my account!! :( ) oh well.. at least we had fun! :)

got a phone call from Bhavana... HI BHAV!!! :) hhehehehhehe

so anyway... one of the signs of the aging process... I went downstairs... doing my cleaning u know.. laundry and all those goodstuff... and I saw the handsoap in the kitchen sink is almost gone.. so I went upstairs to get the new one.. when I got there I totally forgot what I was gonna do.. so I picked up the linen laundry and brought it downstair.. and I saw my kitchen sink and I was like.. "oh yeah.." went upstairs again.. and I'm not kidding.. I forgot again !! so I took all my old clothes (will donate to goodwill) and bring 'em downstairs.. and I saw the sink.. and I was like... "ohh myy goshhhh..." and instead of going upstairs.. I'm here in my lil office in our basement writing my blog...

I mean seriously.. I'm only 25 !!!!!!

I miss home so bad... :( Just chat with my mom's boyfriend and he used his webcam. So I got a chance to see TV Show back home and saw my mom just waking up :P heheheh

GOOD NEWS: My mom installed Cable TV & Internet at our home (back home) woohoooo !!! :) so cars... you will be fine.. we will have internet access !! :)

Oh my... seriously.. this Animal Crossing Wild World is so addictive!!! I spent probably 3 hrs playing !!! probably more.. since I play too while I was cooking dinner.. the funny thing about this game is.. it's a cute game but most of the people that play this game are boys... and they're pretty young.. 12-15 years old I say...

so when they asked how old I am.. I became a laughing matter... I don't care.. I'm still a kid inside.. :) hehehehe

almost weekend... 2 more working days.. and then weekend.. :) hehehehheeh

This weekend I might go hangout with ringga, vone & chommany or.. I can hangout with the new girl who just start working at our company... (wanna join us Lisa?)

so anyhow.. this is my new year resolutions:

1. No more shopping at the mall (well except if there's a huge/major sale events)
2. No Alcohol whatsoever... not even 'Lucio Moscato D'Asti"
3. Save at least 200 bucks/month (go to savings)
4. By the end of this year buy a new car for Carson (or the other way around) hehehehehe

Hmmpfff…. Still struggling about being stay at home mom or still work part time? I still want to work.. but at the same time I don’t want to put our baby in a day care you know… big decision to make…. I know it won’t be till next year.. but you know me… I’m a ‘well-planned’ girl.. heheheheh

First day of work in 2006... it was so slow.. the phone did not ring at all today... hmmm so quiet..

So Last night we went to IZ (big boss) Party at his house.. he has such a pretty big house.. it was fun we watched friends till 11:30-ish and then count down till New Year.. :) Went back home around 1-ish am.. I couldn't fell asleep because those chocolates that I consumed at the party made me hyper till 3am.. but carson slept like a baby... while I was playing my Animal Crossing WIld World all night... (that game is so addictive...)
