Bad news: one of carson's friends father just passed away, I was shocked because I'm not that closed with this person so I never heard/seen that it's coming this fast. I'm so sorry to hear about this. If you read this blog, I'm so sorry.. you're in our thoughts & prayer.

These past few months I've been trying to retrieve my child hood memories, but for some reason I only retrieve little bit.. not a whole lot. The only thing I remember are; my teachers from kindergarten through High School, my english tutor when I was very young, basically the only memory that I got are about my education.. I even remember who was my swimming trainer, my science private teacher, etc (and my dentists!! yes I have more than 1 dentist).

I promised.. when we have a baby.. I'll make sure we keep every single photos or video or dvds about each kid. I don't have any video of my childhood.. probably just 1.. and that's a study tour video. I only have 2 trophies.. one was from a drawing contest.. and the other one was from a fashion show. That's it.. while my brother has tons of 'em, start from music, education, till bible quiz competition.. it's really hard growing up with him as my brother...

*sigh* tomorrow is Friday and PAYDAY!!! :)

A CAT'S DIARY

Day 483 of my captivity...

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal.

The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction that I get from clawing their furniture.

Tomorrow I will eat another houseplant.

Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded -- must try this at the top of the stairs.

In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair. I must remember to try this on their bed.

I decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear in their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was. Hmmm, that did not work according to plan...

There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was due to my powers of inducing "allergies." I must learn what this is and how I may use it to my advantage.

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit.

The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured.

But I have patience...

I can wait...

It is only a matter of time....

My Sims Life:
Finally when Destri started opening her home business, she passed away today.. no Hawaiian Hula Dancer.. so it means I go to hell.. yeah... that's what happened if you talk about certain people all the times vone!! and you too Lisa.. we're going to hell !! :P hauhauahuaha j/k so few seconds after my sims died.. the social service lady took both of my adopted kids... and that's how my life ended.

BUT... destri and carson moved to other town now and started their new life together. Destri own a beauty salon and Carson own a Toy store. I think we will hold off on making babies this time till our business established.

My Real Life:
Nothing new.. still excited about Melissa's pregnancy :) woohoooo I'm gonna be an auntie :) (the cool one too). Hmm.. what else.. nothing else.. Carson's been busy with his work stuff, and me busy with.. hmm my Sims game (?). hehehehe

Woohoooooo I'm going to be auntie destri!!! :) Congratulations for Melissa & Oke !!! :) finally I can say it!!! after waiting and waiting and waiting.. *piuhhh* so happy for you guys !!!! So I decided to get Sims 2 Open for Business Expansion Pack, but I haven't play it yet because I thought for a surprise I bought Carson a gift... which is Sims City 4. I thought.. he can install that game on his laptop and I can still play my Sims game on his computer (desktop). So we both can be happy.. but his stoopid laptop refused to install disc 2 !!! blah !!! so we have to take turn.. Nothing new today beside that marvelous news about Mel & Oke :) I had a feeling that it's a boy... we'll see...

Free Stuff!!! :)

Yesterday we went out to the Mall, Carson bought me 2 pair of khakis and a beautiful bracelet from Kay's. Talking about jewelry, so Carson bought me this beautiful necklace from the Tiffany & Co. (as a wedding present) but the problem is.. for some reason this what so called the expensive jewelry turned black so fast on my skins... Do i have such a low maintance skin or what? but anyhow..

We ate at the Flame & Skewer and saw one of my boss' friends who works there, and he gave us free dessert :) yummy... so I got a slice of turle cheese cake. After that we went to Hastings and I bought 1 Japanese anime comic book and a software for fonts organizer. And for some reason the lady only rang the book and I got the software for free... so yeah yesterday I got free stuffs :)

Alright.. I need to start my cleaning ritual now :)

PS: Carson's Character in the Sims game just passed away, God blessed his sims soul. We just adopted 1 child name Brandon and 1 toddler name Lila, and just 1 day before Lila turn into a child the grim reaper & a hawaiian hula dancer(?) showed up in our dining room and took away my husband.. so sad... I think he passed away at the age of 68. He had a wonderful sims life, he's a retired nurse and we have 2 biological daughters who already moved out.

to snore or not to snore

One of my best friends had to go thru a sleeping test at the sleep clinic. Sounds like fun huh.. and I forgot to call her.. *arghhhh* Honestly I don't know where I stand on this particular subject.. I grew up with both of my parents snored.. and when I was kid I always slept in the same bedroom with them. And I find comfort hearing people snoring.. when I heard my dad snored, the sounds made me feel safe because I know he's there next to me. But at the same time nowadays when I'm not sleeping but somebody else snoring I feel annoyed. So I don't know..

Is Snoring Serious?

Socially, yes! It can be, when it makes the snorer an object of ridicule and causes others sleepless nights and resentfulness.

Medically, yes! It disturbs sleeping patterns and deprives the snorer of appropriate rest. When snoring is severe, it can cause serious, long-term health problems, including obstructive sleep apnea.

My hubby wubby got a booboo... poor thing... wrestled too hard.. I asked him whether he needs to get stitches.. his response was "it's too expensive" I was like.. okay... hmm... anyway he's okay now.. only a lil cut..

I finally got a chance to work on the Filipino-American Association of Iowa website design. I won't show it to people yet (except some people who were chatting with me while I was working on it) :P heheheh I think I started developing some distinguish design style.. I need to break away from it otherwise all the sites that I design will look the same! gosh... when I was at school we designed logo in 2 months project, now at work I have to come up with a cool logo with cool design concepts in 2 hrs !! Sometimes I feel like my creative juice been squeezed too hard every day and when it comes to weekend my brain just want to shut down all the times (aka sleep all day).

Anyway.. went home.. stopped by at Hy-Vee and bought 12 yogurts.. now we have yogurt aisle in our fridge.. the new Lost was on tonight but we didn't learn anything new.. blah! :(

We got some snow last night... uh-huh.. March 20.. we got 5" of snow alrite! :) heheheheheh So I packed up my lunch and breakfast because as you all know it by now that I drive like turtle when it comes to snow :) even my co-worker who drove from Zearing took almost 1 hr to get to Ames.

Carson is the greatest husband ever... he took the wedding gown to the dry cleaning place for me today and he also stopped by at Lee's Viatnamese restaurant and got us dinner :). So lucky :)

My mom called me out of the blue 2 nights ago and asked "Des, do you think is there any guy like Carson somewhere out there?" I was like " what??!!!!". I think she was trying to look for a guy for her boyfriend's daughter. *weird*

PS: My Project done exactly at 1:00pm :) and found out that the meeting is at 2! hehehe everything was great, my boss happy, the clients are happy too.

Hi Hi Hi :) I'm back... :) hehehheehhe so.. my weight is back to normal, thanks to no pops and the Sims 2 :P heheheheheh

So, I've been trying to spend less time in front of the computer and more time to my regular cleaning schedule... since the pets don't sleep with us in our bedroom anymore, our room is much cleaner and fresher.. But my cat looks so depressed tho... I feel bad.. :(

My Monday was okay... got last minute project that need to be done by 12pm tomorrow... hmm.. it means I'll be busy from 8:30-11:30am !! :(

Time to eat fruits now.. I bought some oranges and apples.. also some yogurts.. :)

PS: Carson brought home some apple bread from his mom, it's so yummy... but we only got probably 4 slices.. so sorry guys.. can't share :) heheheheh

Finally I installed Adobe Creative Suite 2!! so now I have Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator CS2! Woohoooo!

Happy weekend!! :) Friday after work me & Lisa went to Tim's st. paddy day party.. we watched 'Wilow'. When I watched the movie, I thought of my father-in-law, I bet this movie is in his fav. movie list.. :) Went back home around 11pm and smell something funny around the house.. and yessss morgan pooped all over in the basement... o m g !! and it was a lot.. so now he's being punished.. he needs to learn some discipline.. seems like carson is not good in disciplining his dog.. I think he's just too nice at him.. hmmpff... anyhow hopefully morgan learns from his punishment. (but this time I'm not gonna make him ruin my weekend)

I played Sims again from 11-1:30am :P hehheheh and now I'm watching 'the office' dvd (the british version) it's so funny... :)

Tomorrow I need to do some cleaning... and play more Sims 2 !!! :) hehehehehehhe

I feel much better now :) thanks to my hubby wubby and Lisa for lending me the Sims 2... last night I played from 7pm-11pm! :P heheheheheh and today I played from 6-8pm.

I think I found out that video games or computer games are the best diet ever..

1. It makes you forget about your food craving
2. It makes you stay at home, rather than go out and spend money
3. It makes you skip dinner, lunch, even breakfast :P

So anyway, Carson is out of town till I have no idea.. he didn't give me a specific time because he knows.. if he told me specific time.. I would wait for him and i would get dissapointed if he's not home by then :P hehehehehe

For some reason.. I got addicted to the Sims again... not the Sims 2.. Sims 1! :) but Lisa will lend me her Sims 2 (if I'm nice to her) :) woohoo.. anyhow, I bought 3 expansions pack from eBay and Half.com for an average of 6 bucks each (including shipping). So that wasn't bad at all.

I went home late today because me & my co-workers went to lunch together and for some reason they were really slow.. not busy.. but slow in getting our food done, and they messed up our order too... but it was fun.. :)

Fantasy baseball season is coming up... I can't wait to hear cars' phone rings early in the morning on Saturday (or Sunday). And this is what exactly the first sentence carson would say "Oh no.. no you didn't wake me up.. " and then he would got up (or jump) from the bed.. run to the basement.. and sit in front of the computer. Yeap.. that's my hubby wubby....

Hi, today at the office was more fun since most of our part timer is working full time this week since it's a spring break week. So the office was more busy than usual. The time flies by so fast when there are so many actions around you.

I've been trying to give up pops and sugars.. but it seems too hard if there's no goal.. well I know the goal is to be healthy.. maybe I'll set a new goal.... Loose 5-8 lbs till September.. so when I go back to Indonesia everybody would told me how skinny I am and they will feed me more :P hehehehehhe (yes... my culture back home is so rude sometimes... they will tell you in front of your face at the first time they met you... how chubby you are or how skinny you are..). In US people more intend to think that they're over weight... but when they ask people... they will say "are you kidding me..." or "no.. you're perfect"

My brother is so smart he told me that he tried to gain weight for his wedding, so after the wedding every time people see him they will say "Oh my gosh.. did you loose weight.. you look much skinnier than your wedding pictures" Smart huh???? did you realize how people will compare you with your wedding pictures (or other important events if you're not married).

PS: nope.. no baby on the way yet... believe me there will be a big announcement if I'm pregnant.

Sunday = cleaning day....

I woke up at 1pm :) heheheh start cleaning and do laundry at the same time, now it's 4:50pm and I just finished cleaning but there are still 2 loads of Laundry in the laundry room... anyhow.. I like it.. our house is clean now.. (except basement).. Basement is Carson's responsibility since there are too many stuff that belongs to him that I don't want to be the one who got blame if I threw away his important stuff.

Now I need to eat something since I haven't ate this whole day.. :)

Our Sunday night is full booked now.. stat from 8-11pm.. (so if we don't pick up our phone, you know why)

8-9pm : HBO - Sopranos
9-10pm : HBO - Big Love
10-11pm: SHO - the L Word

Here's the story of our date: I woke up at 11:00am, took a shower.. wash my hair.. get ready.. woke carson up and we left around 12-ish. First destination, we went to Waterfront Restaurant (Seafood rest). I got myself Salmon & Tuna Nigiri Sushi as usual, and carson got the lunch fried platter and a bowl of Sam Miller Crab soup. So delicious..

Went to K's Merchandise, carson wants to buy another work-out equipment for the basement. But I ended up buying a whole new set of silverware, since Carson doesn't like one of our silverware collections. (It was on sale for only 10 bucks!!!) good deal huh..

The original plan was.. we're going to go to the iMax theater to watch Harry Potter, but they already sold out the ticket.. even the ticket for 7pm show :( boooo..

So we went home.. stopped by at Pet Smart in Ankeny and Super Target. We decided to take HWY 69 so we can look around the nice houses in between ankeny and ames...

Our date ended by me cooking awesome supper and now carson is playing his old nintendo game (NES Open), and I ate my yummy strawberries :)

It was a fun date... nite nite...

Weekend.. woohooo... :) so happy... I went to bed early on Friday (9:00pm) and guess what??!! I woke up at 12:00am.. and couldn't go back to sleep... boooooo!! :(

Now we're going to watch a dvd.. tomorrow we will go on our date.. I think we will go to eat sushi.. and then go to the iMax theater.. and we will see after that...

and on Sunday I decided that I will dedicate my day to clean the whole house... early spring cleaning??? I guess so..
I already warned my hubby wubby... if he didn't clean his stuff.. his stuff will be gone.... huahuahauhaua j/k i'm not that mean...

Hi.. I'm so tired today I woke up at 7 because I have my dentist appointment at 8am.. Finally I got my permanent crown.. it's so perfect :) I love it.. can't wait to see the bill from them. This is a quote from Vone:

My answer is YES.. I know that I have probably 10 paid vacations + 2 paid sick days right now since I roll them over from last year. But I know if I take 1 personal day off just to get some sleep I would feel guilty and I won't enjoy my day off.

Anyway.. our company finally hired a new administrative assistant (a.k.a receptionist), so my fun job will be over soon :( I'm gonna miss it for sure.. miss cleaning the bathroom, miss answering stupid questions from clients, miss yelling back at the client who yelled at me, miss walk to get the mail.. :( huuu huuuu I'm gonna miss you my fun job.. I used to hate it.. but now I finally love it and now I have to let you go...

Alrighty, Friday night.. Carson put me to work.. (but we had our date night first) I didn’t know that we will have the Ames High Wrestling Banquet this Sunday (today). So we tried to make photo slideshow and ames high wrestling video highlights in 2 days !!! so I ended up slept at 12am.

Saturday, me, vone and ringga went to the 6th Annual Noche de Reinas (this event is a night to appreciate women in our lives). They had salsa, Merengue and Bachata lessons. So it was fun… we went out to eat afterwards and we proudly said.. we’re home by 2am!!! For the very first time in.. hmm I have no idea.. it’s been a while..

I love latin dance !!! ☺ we should do more vone!!! ☺

Sunday went to the banquet with my hubby wubby, had a great time.. start from 5:30 and ended at 9:00-ish. Nice to be recognize as Carson’s better half and mrs. Andorf ☺. Though feel old.. but it’s ok !! ☺

PS: Ringga brought me 1 set of Korean TV series title Endless Love, it has 18 VCDs. Gosh… I already addicted to it !!! I watched 4 discs this morning… man… she likes to get me addicted to this whinny sad melancholy tv series that always makes me cry!! Also she brought me some awesome pork jerky (almost 2 lb) from Singapore.. gosh… Thanks ling !!!! ☺

I found this in a forum (a biblical fact) about it, but not sure whether this theory is correct or wrong. Also.. why do you think Mr. Eko chopping down the trees, what do you think he's building???

Last night I got home early, so I went to Hy-Vee and got the ingredients to make the dessert that May-Lou's friend made. I don't know what they called it, but it's so yummy. I called it Graham Cracker Creme Filled Cake :). I got Krispy Kreme doughnuts & a gallon of Orange Juice for the office.. I guess I just like to feed people :P

One of my & my brother's good friend is having some rough time at school, I'm not gonna say who, I feel so sorry for your situation and I know you can do it.
